NorCal Guild Luncheon Committee
The Northern California Chapter of the Graphic Artists Guild
hosts a luncheon featuring an event or a special guest speaker,
whose background and presentation reflect the interests of the
Guild constituency.
The Lunch committee is responsible for setting up and running
the luncheon series. This involves choosing the topics and finding
the appropriate speakers, advertising the luncheons, working with
the restaurant, etc.
We have had presentations about Web graphics, Pre-press issues,
Self-promotion and marketing, as well as big name designers and illustrators.
We are always looking for new members with fresh ideas to join
our committee! It's alot of fun and a great way to interact with
people in your field that you might not otherwise have the chance
to meet.
Lunches are held 6 times per year in San Francisco
Following are the tasks/responsibilities involved to produce
the luncheons. Some tasks can be done from home/studio such as
collecting RSVPs and making receipts or signage, other tasks require
attending the lunch itself to help out:
Chair of the committee Speaker Liaison
Luncheon PR (Print and electronic)
RSVPs
Cash box/check in table
General Set-up
Equipment Monitor
If you are interested in volunteering for this committee, please come to the next steering meeting.
